When I first started, I would’ve taken this deal. But to be honest, it’s NOT worth it!!! No matter how badly you want to get paid doing UGC, you have to also know your worth and your value!! Don’t give away usage rights for free, and remember to always ask allll the questions. Some brands will write it in fine print or try to get you to sign a contract that you didn’t agree to. Here’s why I said no. 👇 They wanted raw footage for 2 full briefs with usage rights in perpetuity — meaning no end date, no expiration. They own that content forever and can run it as paid ads and repurpose it across any platform without ever paying you again. $600 sounds decent until you actually break that down. Usage rights should always be a separate line item in your negotiation — never something buried in a contract you gloss over because you’re excited about the deal. Read everything. Ask about usage before you agree to anything. The right brands will pay for it.
