We care for 18 parrots , almost all owner surrenders or cruelty cases. Some of These residents are what is called “ freeflight trained “. Look it up if you are interested to learn more ! Parrots are incredible , but are a huge responsibility. And I hope my flight videos make people think about what kind of life a parrot is meant to live ( wild ) , and what has been normalized in captivity. As someone who always wanted to breed parrots, seeing living as a flock, In the big blue sky… it changed my whole view. If you are set on bringing one into your life, really consider adopting! I promise there are so many wonderful birds in rescues just waiting for someone who will love and understand them! Many of yall have asked how I get them back in their enclosures. They pretty much got the routine down. But some evenings are a little more chaotic than others.😇. like most birds, they naturally want to roost in the evenings and they see their enclosures as their sleeping their roost. Every once in a while , one or two decide to roost high in the trees , but it’s rare.
