It seems people are misunderstanding. People didn't hate her because her passive was OP, it never really was and everyone knew that. They hated her passive because it set a bad precedent for potential future passives that would make the game harder for everyone without it. The hate was for the inherent predatory nature of the mechanic, not the revive.
