Just add commentary tracks to streaming. I don’t wanna use an app with headphones in the theater.

Theatres can barely get accessibility features, we should focus on that first

I like the idea. I love rewatching a movie and that would be a cool bonus as long as the ear buds don’t have lights

Why is everyone hating? Like how can it be distracting if you don’t want the commentary then just don’t use the app?

why can't they add commentary tracks to the streaming services? I used to love watching those on dvds

Yes, let’s encourage people to keep their phones on during the movie. Great idea!

Rian Johnson did this for Looper. He put out an MP3 file of a theater-exclusive commentary that you’d watch along with the movie. And I did, in fact, go to see the movie in theaters twice because of this.

I’ve been using this app for a few years now, so my mom and my aunt can listen to the movie in their language. They love it!

Id like to purchase the commentary on the Blu-ray I buy, or have it included as a feature on my digital copy. Barbarian did that with their digital copy and I love it

I wouldn’t do this in theaters but I’d rewatch at home if it was an option.

I actually did this yesterday for my 4th viewing of PHM. It was cool to hear the directors talk about making PHM. However the sound quality could have been better. Also I missed parts of the commentary because the movie sounds were so loud at times and drowned out the directors’ voices.

The safety aspect is what gives me pause. God forbid, but if there was something going on in the lobby or in another theater, I’d want to hear that and be able to respond appropriately.

This should stay as an AT HOME experience, not for public use. I wanna watch the movie FIRST, and don't wanna see people fumbling over their phones in the cinema.

I used it last week, and it was incredible! Just get there a few minutes early to make sure that you’re all connected and then your phone can be away the rest of the time
