my buddy has 320 on his 5th gens never happened. and I know of plenty past 200 k. its mostly maintenance neglect, and people usung the wrong oil.

its called adsorption. oil adsorbs to metal meaning it bonds on a molecular level. so they dont start "dry". that lifter was starved of oil probably from not changing it enough. modern diesel oils collect soot from egr systems so the oil doesn't last like it used to.

Dave, the insane Diesel bypass filter system is two times the price of the Amsoil bypass filter system. I like that the Amsoil system uses real filters not a cartridge. What are your thoughts opinion please
