The Sumerian story is the same Genesis story. The only reason the Genesis story carried on to the book of Exodus is because we are following God's promise of Messiah to come through His chosen people. A Messiah who will lead the way for all his people into the age to come.

so what this does is Prove the flood happened. It doesnt matter who wrote it first. The Flood actually happened. Its not copywork, it's Historical verification outside scripture. The story also exists in China BTW.
