@awakenfitness: This was last Saturday (17 days post-op of my surgery). Had my follow up last week with the surgeon and I’m just not happy with hearing how much longer this recovery is going to take. I have a HUGE seroma that looks like I still have a hernia and I still haven’t lifted anything THAT MUCH. This was the furthest I’ve walked in a long time (2 1/2 miles roughly) it was too bad it was raining but still told myself to go and get it done. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH I’m so over not being able to train at the moment. I’m going EVEN CRAZIER THAN I AM. #dontquitDOIT #staystrong #positivevibes #movementismedicine #StrongAF
I submit, for your consideration, the following: being forced to slow down is the challenge; accepting the challenge IS training. It’s not physical training, but it is brain training. If you can shift your perspective, and view this time as an opportunity to learn and perfect something new, it has been my experience that you can see this in a new light and with gratitude. I say this with the best intentions for you ❤️❤️

Keep up the walking. Do not over stress that body. Let it heal. You don’t want to start over and do this procedure again. You behave

I am 4 weeks post-op for my hiatal hernia and diaphragm tightening. Still on soft foods and not lifting anything. It's all worth it! Good luck.

It’s difficult waiting, but worse would being hurt doing too much too fast. Take it slow. Meditate, breathe, find peace inside. 💕

I’ve stopped training for 5 months now due to a car accident injury so this is totally relatable, but be patient with yourself, because you’ll be back on track again soon! Every day is a blessing so take it one day at a time my friend🫶🏻
Joel, don’t push yourself. You got this, healing takes time.💕🙏

Hang in there! Take it slow. I know I hate it when folks say that to me. Do your pace and makes you feel better. Your body and mind will let you know when to rest or slow down. Listen to it prayers and thoughts are with you always ❤️🙏🏼
