it’s just a little easter egg! the shadowhunters universe has its own faerie realm (the other books go much further about that) and it’s not the same as the one in cruel prince. i think it’s just a little treat both the authors do cuz it’s fun!

I mean they arnt really CANNON but they do have a lot of fun nods to one another (and other authors esp in their dedications they go back and forth), but the logistics and set up of their fae dont quite align so it would make no sense for their worlds to actually be cannon within one another.
