They did rig the show to make her look better. They edited out solos that other girls had, they edited out kehlani’s solo that also got a perfect score. They gave her better choreography; still poor choreo for industry standards. They purposefully made it look like the Joffrey scholarship was the same as the Joffrey ballet school, so people would think it’s the same organisation. It’s not. Neither maddie, nor Chloe could even attend, because it conflicted with the filming schedule of the show.

Watching the dance "Stomp the Yard" just really highlights Maddie's pure talent against the other girls. I know Brooke, Paige and Chloe arent in it because it was later but I always notice how beautifully Maddie movies compared to the others. All of the girls are incredibly talented but Maddie truly had the drive to do better and better. Dancing seems to come more naturally to her.

i would’ve paid money to see a brooke and maddie duet as well 😭 i know maddie wasn’t an acrobat but the technique on both of those girls…and brooke EATS in lyrical just as much as contortion

My unpopular opinion (at least that’s what I’ve been told) is that Vivvy is more of an OG than Kendall. Vivvy was in what episode one and Kendall didn’t come in till season 2. Kendall was no an OG at all.

They didn’t show that Brooke got a scholarship, either. I think they only showed Chloe’s because they made such a big deal about it being Joffrey BALLET, and that was the scholarship Chloe got.

season 1 literally chloe and maddie were rarely in the same age category and both would win first place in their divisions but they made it seem like they were in the same category and that maddie won over chloe.

I think the show did try to show Maddie as the best dancer, she always had good choreography that fit her skills. But the show also wanted drama, so they wanted to make it look like the “favorite” was also a “brat”

I always hated late seasons when they wouldn’t make it clear which age division they were were competing. So Abby would yell at Nia for getting fourth in overalls, meanwhile she won the senior division.

My controversial take is that Jill & Kendall are like kind of OG’s. Kendall came in early season 2 and stayed for the duration. That’s a lot of time to put in. She’s not a full OG, but like half OG. 😂

I’m so glad you made this one and maybe this one’s popular or unpopular but sometimes Christy complained too much like I understand how Chloe never got fair treatment, but if Chloe did win, she would complain about how everyone wasn’t happy for Chloe but if Chloe didn’t get a solo she would complain about how Chloe never gets opportunities and then Chloe would get us to talk about how much pressure was being put on her
