@wellnesswithlinds: “Why do you talk about endometriosis so much?” Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women (I think its way higher, and just underdiagnosed)… and yet, it continues to be one of the most underfunded, under-researched conditions in modern medicine. Between 2019–2023:
→ Endometriosis received $44 million in investment
→ Erectile dysfunction received $1.24 billion in investment This isn’t about comparison for the sake of it, it’s about recognizing a system that has historically minimized women’s pain. Endometriosis isn’t just “bad cramps.” It’s a chronic inflammatory condition that can impact fertility, digestion, hormones, and day-to-day quality of life. And much more of a problem than simply not being able to get it up (sorry to be crazy). And still…average time to diagnosis is 7–10 years. The diagnostic process is literally surgery, despite there being other methods to explore in research settings that would help with earlier, quicker diagnosis. We deserve:
→ earlier diagnosis
→ better treatment options
→ research that actually reflects how many women are affected Because women’s health shouldn’t be an afterthought. 💬 If you’ve ever felt dismissed or overlooked in your health journey, you’re not alone. I had endometriosis surgery in June 2025 after managing the disease holistically for 15 years. Comment NOTES and I’ll send you a substack I wrote about my experience with the surgery!

They can sell pills for ED. There isn’t a long term way to make money from treating endometriosis. Once they find a way to treat it without curing it, then they will be interested.

I was just talking to my boyfriend about this! I was having a mental breakdown and I was just like “I’m tired of how the world treats women. If men were affected by this as well, I most likely wouldn’t be suffering like this” although he’s the most understanding and supportive person ever, he won’t ever truly understand what it feels like
