I think it's important to differentiate there are two types of charismatic people. the type you are referring to are people who are liked as they make people feel important and are good at asking questions. they are not necessarily the most interesting or magnetic themselves. they are just good at getting other people to do the heavy lifting and so makes the situation interesting. examples are Ellen degeneres, Louis theroux, sean evans from hot ones. the other type are magnetic and can talk and make people laugh and one question will result in an interesting joke and anecdote. they usually actually don't ask others many questions or even remember them. examples are Conor McGregor, Jay z, Kanye West, Beyonce, Johnny Depp next time you are at a social event go watch the actual most charismatic person. I guarantee they will not be asking that many questions or paying much attention to everyone around them
