Let me get this straight, so the employer in underpaying their staff and somehow they expect the customer to make up for this by paying more than the listed price? How does that make sense?

The only time I won’t tip is if the server is rude. Mistakes happen. I make mistakes at work just like everyone else

I purposefully write down all my orders put them by table number for this reason and won’t throw it away til the table leaves cause I’ve had this happen

this literally happened to me, at our place we have a device, it shows them what their ordering on hr back so I told her to check that was right she said yes I brought the food out she suddenly ordered beef

as someone who works at a restaurant, not tipping is honestly extremely rude. waiters work way too hard to only get paid minimum wage, and tips are mainly how they make their money. where i work, the waiters also have to split some of their tips with the kitchen (cooks, dishwashers, etc.) all in all, lots of people rely that their waiters will get tipped
