Im very upset with the comments trying to deny this experience, being unattractive is not a mystical hypothetical thing, many people are unattractive, should beauty be inextricably tied to the female experience and define womanhood? No, and in some ways it is. That is all she’s saying. Being mean to her and telling her she’s lying or thinking about herself too much is not going to undo that. And i know in some way, people are trying to help, because it’s easier to tell one person she’s wrong instead of looking at the bigger picture or even within.

A lot of being conventionally attractive is self care and effort, it takes time, hair care, skin care, etc. learning how to be good at make up, working out, learning what clothes look good on you. It doesn’t just come naturally without effort or time.
