They have between 1,000-4,000 of these ova in their ovary depending on the breed. But in their lifetime the average hen is only going to lay 600-1,000 eggs, so they don’t ever run out. They just get to a point where their body is past its prime and they’re not able to produce eggs as efficiently, so their body stops producing. #egg #chickens #fact #education #shilohfarm
