@1snotdoc: I know it looks weird. Here's why surgeons actually prescribe it. Neti pots and saline rinses aren't just feel-good remedies — they restore your nose's natural defense system. Your cilia (tiny hairs in your nose) sweep out mucus and pathogens. When you're congested, inflamed, or healing from surgery, that system breaks down. Saline does three things: 🔹 Restores ciliary function 🔹 Flushes allergens, bacteria, viruses 🔹 Works for allergies, infections, and post-op care The data is solid. A 2016 Cochrane review proved it reduces symptoms and medication use in chronic sinusitis. If you're still congested after a few weeks, that's when you need an ENT. Now you nose. 👃 Hashtags: #ENT #AllergySeason #SinusHealth #NasalHealth #salinesolution

backstreets71 🇨🇦 :
I have hyperosmia; my neti pot, or a saline rinse, was one of the best things I had to use after being overexposed to scent/fragrance. I can no longer get the rinse to go "all the way through" though. I've had to switch to using a saline spray, which just doesn't work as well. ☹️
