My youngest stepson calls me mom now. He came and asked me one day if he could call me that because he said I’m his stepmom so I’m basically his mom. Bio mom has no problem with it. Her and I get along. He also calls his stepdad-dad. I think as long as the bio parents are okay with it. It is fine.
