I remember when these had 0 value and trading a card you dint need for 1 you did need or just wanted without having to worry about value was much easier

This is why I’m a huge believer that we need to go back to the original trade style and value format from our childhood. We teach our kids that the value of the card is based off the rarity level on the card. We specifically teach our kids that cards have equal value across the entire similar rarity level. So that means we specifically teach our kids to only trade based off the same rarity level. So that would mean common for common, uncommon for uncommon, rare for rare, etc.

When I use to work at the card shop and also field of dreams. Of a kid came into the store We had a rule to ask for their parents if they were minors.

Glad you stepped in. My son used to love going to card shows with me and trade. until this last one where the vendor demanded a $10 "trade fee" for an equally priced card. From a 9 year old child. He doesn't want to go anymore. 😕

My daughter went to a show and they sold her a card worth $30ish for $65 she was so happy to get the card,that I didnt have the heart to tell her they did her wrong specially since she had worked hard to earn every dollar she took with her to the show.💔 some people are horrible to kids
