There is a growing amount of misinformation online surrounding LED face masks, EMFs, and “dangerous frequencies” and unfortunately, fear is becoming a marketing strategy. So I went directly to ARPANSA, Australia’s national radiation safety authority, and reviewed the available guidelines and evidence for myself. According to ARPANSA, there is currently no substantiated scientific evidence that low-level EMF exposure below Australian safety standards causes adverse health effects in the general population. We are exposed to electromagnetic fields every single day through phones, Wi-Fi, appliances, electricity infrastructure, transport systems, and modern technology. Context matters. Exposure level matters. Evidence matters. That does NOT invalidate people who experience sensitivities or symptoms. But there is an important difference between discussing individual experiences and making broad scientific claims that create fear in everyday consumers. What concerns me is the rise of fear-based marketing and websites selling “protection” products by convincing people that standard beauty devices are dangerous without credible evidence to support those claims. This is exactly how misinformation spreads. The best thing we can do is stay informed, read reputable sources, and make decisions based on evidence - not fear.
