Move of the Week: Reverse Super Lunge Standing Chest Opener Yes, you read that right… I said Reverse Super Lunge because @seb recently updated the name of the move to reflect the consistency in the naming patterns where moves facing the back of the room are called “Reverse”.   ‼️Note you cannot progress this directly with the traditional reverse Super Lunge because the spring load is too light for the rows, it requires a spring change! ‼️Note your back foot MUST be anchored against the ring of fire on the machine so DO NOT teach this if they cannot anchor their foot.   🔥Resistance: at least 3 light springs (grey on the Mini Pro) 🔥Duration: Starts at two minutes 🔥Form/Alignment: Kneel midway on the carriage facing the back with the cables in your hands. Back foot anchored against the ring of fire, front foot anchored on the 12 panel. Arms are straight at sides with palms facing back. 🔥Form/Alignment: as you begin the chest opener, pressing the arms behind the body, press through the front heel and push through the ball of the back foot to rise off the carriage at the same time lengthening the legs. As the hands start to come back in line with the hips. The legs are bending back to 90° with the balcony hovering off the carriage. Continue moving slowly as you repeat. 🔥Pairing: Reverse Super Lunge Bicep Curl, Reverse Super Lunge Rear Delt Fly 🔥Tempo: You must go slow, starting at a 4 count but aiming for a 8-10 count! 🔥Mods: Use the foot straps for less intensity.
