my mum is 88 with mixed dementia, she lived with me for 5 years unfortunately the sundowning became too much she now is in a care home, something i promised her would never happen. guilt is hard but she needed more than I could do. I salute you ❤️

While I was working at a perfume shop in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, there was an elderly couple from the UK who used to visit regularly. Every three months, they would come to the shop and buy the same perfume they always loved. One day, only the husband came. His wife wasn’t with him anymore—she had passed away. He asked me to let him smell the perfume she used to wear. As he inhaled the scent, he was instantly taken back to his memories with her. His eyes filled with tears… it was a deeply emotional moment.
