This speaks a lot to my journey, and it was envy: I wanted that freedom, I wanted that self confidence, I wanted their seemingly lack of restrictions because I had been forced into a box that I didn't fit. And if anyone reads this who secretly wants to be something but feels they can't change into what you want, you can.

Honestly I think that if they were going to use the equity card system on a streamed or televised event, the organizers should have made sure the rules were really well established. Seemed poorly organized, but not against the intention of it.

You would consider me a liberal centrist. I don't appreciate the suggestion that I agree with Jordan Peterson. I'm a centrist because I dont see the world as black or white, and believe there is usually a grey option. I fully support people's right to express themselves as they see fit, but I also recognize that we will never live in a utopian, judgement free society. Saying I'm no better than a bigotry like JP doesn't help.

I recently had an epiphany. I think that’s accurate. I walked by a trans person in Walmart. I was struck and changed by the amount of courage they needed to just exist. This perspective was not accessible to me until that moment.
