Going to church is a step, not a status. Not everyone who’s there has actually changed. Church is for imperfect people. Like a hospital, you don’t go there because you’re healthy, you go because you still need healing.

Hindi naman siguro fair na i-generalize agad yung mga taong active sa church na parang ‘talo pa rin sa kasamaan ng ugali.’ I get na may mga ganung cases, pero hindi rin tama na gawing parang ganun na lahat. Reality is, lahat naman ng tao may flaws at pagkukulang, hindi lang yung mga nasa church. Being active sa church doesn’t automatically make someone perfect, pero for many, it’s part ng process nila para magbago, matuto, at maging better na tao. Minsan kasi, mas madaling makita yung mali ng iba kaysa yung effort nila na mag-improve. Hindi natin nakikita yung buong story ng isang tao, kung paano sila nagta-try magbago or kung ano pinagdadaanan nila. Kaya siguro mas okay na i-acknowledge na may imperfections ang lahat, pero hindi ibig sabihin nun na wala nang value yung ginagawa nilang effort para maging mabuti. At the end of the day, hindi naman pagiging perfect ang goal, kundi growth. Mas mahalaga siguro na tignan natin kung paano nagsusumikap yung tao mag-improve kaysa i-label agad sila base sa isang observation.
