Excuse me, Baizhu was in the archon quest the Liyue one. Idk if you remember, but before Dendro was an actual usable element he was important to us because alot of people thought he was the Dendro archon in disguise. I get what you mean though, just thought I'd point Baizhu out

We first meet Baizhu in the Liyue archon quest all the way back in 1.0 lol💔💔 Quest Chapter I, Act II, "Guizhong". Are you a new player??? People were hyped for him for YEARS, especially because of his Dendro Vision.

Baizhu was in like a dozen quests before he released. But also every patch has at least one or two 5* characters that didn't appear in any of the Archon quest, it's not a new thing.

imo not every character needs to be important to the main story. Most of the time I pull because I like their kit/look/personality/lore regardless of how ‘story relevant’ they are. If they were all pushed into prominent roles in the AQ before their release patch it could feel crowded

no shade thats why they should take some notes from HSR, I hate when genshin pulls out a random character that appears in 1 event and never uses them ever again—for example Emilie and Escoffier if you didn’t play their events you don’t know who they are
