@homebysheena: DIY BEDROOM 🪚✨ the first makeover in our new house 🏠✔️ I originally planned to start with one of the smaller rooms, but the carpet in here was so bad that it needed tackling first… I didn’t bother protecting it as we’re getting a new one fitted. I decided on half wall panelling with a shelf, and used two of the £15 panelling kits from @CheshireMouldings @B&Q and honestly, I’m so glad I did! It’s super easy to work with and perfect if you’re new to DIY - I managed to get everything up in just a few hours 🙌 The only adjustments made were trimming the top and bottom horizontal panels to fit the wall, which I did using a saw and mitre box 🪚 I fixed the panels to the wall with No More Nails, then filled, sanded and caulked for that smooth finish. I added some decorative moulding and a shelf to the top, then primed and painted 🖌️ On a bit of a whim, I also decided to add coving… not going to lie, it was a struggle.
