People are quick to judge nurses and doctors absence. And yet keep quiet when posts are frozen, vacancies not filled. If 5 nurses resigned means no nurse for 20 patients with 1:5 ratio and for doctors it’s even higher.

Blame the government. There are qualified nurses and doctors who are currently unemployed. In every health care facility there’s a shortage of staff yet every year there are new graduates

The thing is when Drs strike about unemployment society says “nothing is special about you, everyone is unemployed” unfortunately my as doctors we cover wards, casualty and clinics, so the ward is not the highest priority it will always be new unstabilised patients

there is no staff Cc we currently less than 50% staffed for hospitals .....they give them 3month contracts which ended last week
