They are clearly being set up to be endgame, the plotline and pacing is so good that they could genuinely be the best animated couple EVER. They have the forbidden love, young love, and partner in crime tropes, yet are still so exciting and unpredictable. Plus there chemistry is sooo good, I dont know how they make animated characters have such good chemistry but its like you can see the feelings forming and the trying to push it back.
