Your Dad’s hair loss doesn’t affect yours, your mum yes. I also used to have loads of hair (I used to get it thinned out at the hairdressers! 😭) but I lost almost half of it over the last couple of years due to hormonal issues (coming off the pill), losing a lot of weight and stress. I’m now taking aldactone which is helping and I’m doing PRP treatments. Sadly female patterned baldness is actually more common than you think especially as we age.

this is so frustrating to go through 😅 I had a phase where my hair kept falling out and no one could really tell me why… everything looked “fine” but clearly something wasn’t. I tried so many products and tips and nothing helped long term. I felt so stuck and stressed about it. then in a women’s forum someone mentioned Eat Like A Woman Protocol by Loren Green. I followed it and things shifted—less shedding, healthier hair, and I lost 28 lbs. feels like something nobody talks about.

Female hair loss can be contributed more by inflammation in the body, ferritin and tsh levels, and also lifestyle choices. Hair transplant will still require for you to ensure you blood levels are adequate and optimal, and menopause and premenopausal states will also contribute.

Thanks for talking openly about your hair transplant. I’m almost 53, and I’ve lost so much hair due the hormonel issue( menopause) I wish I never complained about my hair when I was younger. I’ve never had think hair, but I’ve had nice hair nevertheless. I’m so embarrassed to go out in public with my hair, it’s sad. But then again, I think to my self, it could be worst.
