Girl you fucking get it. Why can’t we all just be layered, complex people who have both good and bad and everything in between in all of us? Make mistakes, be a bit annoying (we all are and that’s okay) learn and move on from them… the internet feels so divided at the moment. Also, the Internet provides the anonymity that allows people to lie their character/personality without the fear of being challenged or outed as a bad person. So people can lie about situations and experiences without ever being called out.

I think this is why I gravitate heavily towards ‘redemption arc’ stories in books and shows. I find them the most intriguing because I love the concept of a blended person who is both good and bad as it’s much more realistic and understandable to me.

I always thought that reducing people to being inherently good or bad was dehumanizing. We do both good and bad things throughout our lives. I think self-awareness and humility is what many people lack.
