I’ve honestly lost a lot of respect for Peter because of the way he acted in this scene. When Lois said, “But first, coffee,” he couldn’t even be patient for a few minutes and instead made the situation all about himself. It showed how selfish and immature he can be. If he really cares about his family, he needs to start thinking about other people’s feelings before his own and learn to be more understanding instead of creating unnecessary problems.

For this one time, I have to side with Lois. Although Lois is a horrible mother to Megan, they were genuinely having a bonding moment. Mother and daughter. Until Peter came. Lois was trying to make a simple joke, and would obviously pick her children over coffee, but Peter had to take it seriously. Lois even confirmed she was just having fun with Meg at the end of the clip. Hearing her having to defend herself, saying “I just thought it was a fun sign, that’s all…” seriously brought tears to my eyes. Lois may not be perfect, but she deserves so much more than what Peter gives her.
