@planetraw.my: This ant is already gone. It just doesn't know it yet. A single fungal spore lands on an ant's body and begins to grow inside it. It replaces the organs one by one, keeping the brain for last. Then it takes over. The ant climbs to the exact height the fungus needs, bites down on a leaf, and never lets go. What emerges from its head will restart the cycle across the entire colony. This has been happening for forty-eight million years. #animals #Cordyceps #Insects #Wildlife #fypシ
