My dad is 6’3” and has about a 52-54 in waist. Posting a pic so people can get a visual of Henry’s size.

Genuine question that’s just come to me. How did anyone accurately know the exact date or time, in this era? Surely it was all just sort of guesswork. “I’m not sure, but it FEELS like 2pm on Sunday”.

As Henry was such a germophobe and obsessed with illness, it’s so strange that he did such dangerous sports and had so many accidents!

I honestly believe that Henry’s personality didn’t change at all due to the accident, but actually due to the near death he experience that he had faced twice during the points of his marriages to Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. I think that his desperate attempts to annul his marriage to Catherine of Aragon stemmed from his near death experience in 1525 due to him starting to become scared that he would die without a male heir and realising how quick life can end. I think that this thought solidified when he had another accident during his marriage to Anne Boleyn, leading to his several failed marriages over time
