I was there when Caedrel started co streaming, when he was still on LEC broadcast. For me personally i never really watched LEC, i mostly watched LCK and internationals. but the last years i have watched alot more LEC, because Caedrel co streams it. So it bugs me when people say co streamers steal the views from official broadcast, because personally i wouldnt watch it, if it wasnt for the co stream with Caedrel. I just fell in love with the way Caedrel analysis drafts and in game moments. But i do agree there should be some rules, because it is like you say, they get a free product to watch😊

I’m happy you’re cool with Caedrel but most of the time he’s playing wow/sts in between games, not providing any analysis and completely covering the screen. Ik you’re friends but you framed his coverage in a very positive way when actually it’s problematic for him to ignore half of the content when he’s pulling more viewers than main broadcast sometimes.

Like, sure you're friends with caedrel but he doesn't nearly watch everything. He plays wow inbetween, or other games. He cuts off the posg game interviews and everything. Idk

Its all about balance in the end. People get mad because they are not fans of the LEC, they are fans of Caedrel or are just there for the games. They don't want to be forced to watch segments. Its understandable you do you but atleast dont be toxic about it. Rules do need to be there for sure imo especially because this is a product made by the LEC not by the co-streamers

If they made co streamers spectate the games, rather than the broadcast, I think that would work better. Go to main stream for the casters/high production/player stuff, or go to co streamers you like, whether that is someone more technical, more layed back, more hype ect.

As someone relatively new to league esports the way caedrel breaks things down live in the moment is a big reason why I enjoy his co-streams. He makes confusing moments entertaining.

If you have to enforce rules on something to get people to watch it, then it already demonstrates either something better exists or it isn’t fit for purpose. Whats the point of forcing your audience to watch a full broadcast on mute? Does everyone here watching the opening, the credits and the recap of every episode of a TV series they watch? 😂

I just hope the esl talks to streamers first before taking the rights away. if communicatios is bad from esl side then it can get bad, because some rules are a bit too ambiguaty

I agree with them having to cover the whole bradcast and not juat the few times they have scheduled for it. Specially because the content is free, ao at least cover it seriously

Suggestion: Have streamers display broadcast sponsoring ads in a smaller window on the side during intermissions (just countdowns not during desk segments), and have the broadcast post a list of activities that are prohibited during costream intermissions

I couldnt care less about all the extra bullshit they throw in the middle, i always mute the stream. i wanna watch a league match not a tv show, this is a literal game 5vs5 champs the bullcrap they analyzing gives me nothing, the one who needs it are the players, not me, i dont care. Thas why i watch caderal cuz he gives me the match, and does his own crap inbetween games.
