I live in the uk and have been in a house in primary and secondary school and we did things like this but the teachers get involved and on sports day at the end of the year the house that has won the most activities wins and in my primary school we had a trophy xx

lollll al irish secondary schools (high school) have this, mine was a little different so if you got a good mark (a merit) that would be a house point and you could get those for anything. and then we had a sports day once a year and whoever won the match you’d get points like the competitions you mentioned. I was house captain for my house and we won the sports cup it was like the best day of the year

lol, my school has the same thing but we call it legion since our school’s whole deal is ancient Greek and Roman history. Armageddon is our house cup final/Olympics.

My high school used to do activities every Friday and it was so fun, the activities were so many so all students could do whatever they are good at…. I miss my high school days 😔

My old private school had houses. We got put in one in 8th grade and stayed in the same one. We competed in games once a week to win points

we did this too except we would meet like once a month instead and our points came from like being a good person so if a teacher saw you do something good then they'd give you a "merit" and it was really up to teacher discretion so most of us hated it especially because some teachers would only give demerits because they thought that what we did is the bare minimum and shouldn't deserve a merit, which like yah all I did was help a student pick their books up but gimme the damn merit
