What the helly?

Today marks a deeply emotional and significant moment in my life as I had the honour of commissioning an ultra-modern mosque in memory of my late father. Years ago, my father made a promise and nurtured a vision for this mosque, a place that served not only as a centre for daily prayers but also as an avenue for Islamic teaching and the sharing of knowledge. Today, I am proud that this vision has been brought to completion and dedicated in his honour. This mosque will stand as a lasting legacy to his memory and will serve the people of Damongo and beyond as a place where Muslims can gather to worship, seek spiritual guidance, and acquire Islamic knowledge. It is my sincere hope that every prayer offered within its walls and every piece of knowledge shared will continue to benefit him and serve as a source of eternal reward for his soul. I was deeply honoured by the presence of the Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Lawyer Salisu Be-Awurbi, the Savannah Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Damongo Constituency Chairman, Chairman Trouble, as well as other executives, party members, traditional leaders, friends, family, and well-wishers who joined us to make this occasion memorable. I extend my profound gratitude to everyone who took time to be part of this special ceremony. Your presence, prayers, support, and goodwill made this occasion even more meaningful. I also wish to express my sincere and special appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, for the opportunity and confidence entrusted in me to serve at the Ghana Water Company Limited. And I will do everything possible to bring water to Damongo. Today, I do not only commission a mosque. I honour the memory of a father, fulfil a promise, and contribute to a legacy that I pray will continue to serve generations yet unborn. May Almighty Allah accept this as an act of Sadaqah Jariyah, forgive my late father’s shortcomings, have mercy upon him, and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus. May this mosque forever remain a place of worship, knowledge, unity, and blessings for the people of Damongo and beyond.
