@citycastseattle: Is Seattle the quiet engine behind the US military? Anduril is one of three companies with offices along Lake Washington and another military contractor named after Lord of the Rings, just like Palantir. What gives? #seattle #military #lordoftherings #palantir #anduril
Is everyone on the podcast a Seattle native? Boeing had a 26 acre military installation camouflaged during WW2 😐 this place has always had unknownst heavy military presence

Washington also has a massive half Army half Air Force base next to Tacoma, an Air Force base in Spokane, and a Navy base in Bremerton. There’s also a Coast Guard base in Seattle proper. Then on top of that all the DoD companies like Boeing which is very visible from the highway. It’s a huge military state, lowkey.

Being that we have all branches of the military in our region with all of their surface, sky and underwater capabilities, it doesn’t seem too far of a leap to what you’re discussing.
