I just go cmd A + double click and if you had a great singer in almost only touches out of tune notes and then I just listen for wonky things lol

Melodyne can’t fix a performance , try to get the performance as perfect as possible, and use melodyne to tweak the small errors and details, and then smack an autotune on it for its effect (more for rap)

I take the same approach to tightening rhythm sections. Not every note has to be perfectly on the grid. Fix actually needs to be fixed, the rest is feel.
