Again, all these exploited women being interviewed on the show, said they would do the show again (including the woman who’s teeth was destroyed) and that they would just ‘be more careful’. Which begs the question, if we let the values of ‘what’s okay in a “unhealthy society” determine what kind of respect or behaviour we will tolerate, then we promote a culture that promotes and rewards ppl to trade their values in pursuit of $, fame, etc. bc ‘everyone else is doing it’ People who willfully participate in these cultures in despite the harm, and there ISN’T a gun to their head…. In the “land of the free,” I mean, yeah the producers could have been nicer, but we all have agency and power over our lives TOO. To everyone in and involved with the show, the ‘ends justified the means’. I think they all would have had a better shot trying to make it on their own (which clearly could have led to better outcomes any way). All this to say, I really wish they gave a huge interview spot to the women who said no, especially this one. What a documentary or episode that would have been. #antm #americastopmodel #tyrabanks #victimhood #accountability
