@elysi813: Most people get stuck memorising without understanding the topic or concepts they’re learning. They might use methods like active recall, spaced repetition and mnemonics. These methods are great for memorisation, but fail horribly when a problem requires transferable knowledge. Everyone says you need to build understanding of the topic, without explaining what that actually means and how you go about doing it. There’s a set of cognitive moves you can use to build deep, transferable understanding for any topic. These moves would require several detailed posts for me to explain each one, how to use them, how to not fall into common traps when using them. Follow if you want to see that content. I plan to post every day. #gcse #StudyTips #revision #iq #howtorevise
