America is like this because of Henry ford. y'all can look it up, he literally had a bill passed that influenced zoning so that things were more spread apart like this and people needed to buy more cars to get places.

I can walk (4-6mins) to a supermarket, bakery, butcher, barber, dentist, liquor store, a few takeaway stores, civic library, 3+ cafes, 3+ restaurants, train station that takes 9 minutes into the city
