If it's so hot, you need to just wear linen shirts. If you sweat in them they wick moisture and dry off perfectly and evenly unlike cotton shirts.

I never wear any shirt without an undershirt. It may work for you but not for me. In my opinion, this is NOT a good lesson. Underclothes have historically had a purpose and for me, will continue to do so.

As a Houstonion and having been raised in Dallas, I would offer a middle ground. I wear Tommy John Second Skin undershirts that help move the moisture off my body allowing it to evaporate and act as an A/C. I am a notorious sweat-er and I wear these undershirts EVERYDAY with polos, button ups, everything. The only time I don’t wear them is to the gym. Life changing for me. Cotton doesn’t do great layered in the heat.

You can get cotton shield put into the armpits if it’s really worrying you I’m sure you know this given you opening a menswear store but I run hot and don’t wear undershirts for the same reason( tho I live in Canada so it’s only hot for like 2 months if we’re lucky)

I live in Florida and I ditch the undershirt with dress shirts. I sweat a lot especially if it’s hot and I don’t need the extra layer to cause me to sweat more

I don’t know if they still make them, but when I lived in Korea UNIQLO had these deep v-neck, thin, no seam, cooling undershirts. I occasionally will wear one of those, but for the most part I gave up wearing undershirts
