he had no respect for her BECAUSE she's supposed to be an adult and his teacher and he probably had no idea how to get out of that situation. as much as it seems like he was the one in control that's far from the truth

I feel horrible for that kid. When ur attractive especially at a young age people feel so entitled to you. They burden you with their desire and make u feel like how they feel towards you is your fault. People who know they can’t have you/shouldn’t bc of power dynamics make YOU feel guilty for THEIR feelings. Haley 100% made him feel responsible for her weird desire and he relented and tried to make the best of it and not be a complete victim and I fully understand and respect that. When people you don’t want corner you and refuse to leave u alone it honestly starts to feel like “oh I might as well give them what they want maybe doing so will make them leave me alone”. He did nothing wrong and I feel terrible that happened to him.

when i was in an abusive situation when I was younger I got more openly rude to the person abusing me. It feels like the only safe way to push back when you dont have the tools to remove yourself from a situation that feels unsafe.

Na. Kids know when they’re being mean. They’re not stupid. He’s not a little boy. Also, he wasn’t wrong for talking to her like that. I definitely think it was more about him having control over a situation he didn’t know how to navigate. But he 100% knew he was being mean and rude.

I completely agree. Honestly this is exactly WHY adult/teen relationships are so gross. That is a child and his brain is NOT there yet. I look back at my facebook memories just to delete the most cringey things I posted at 17(when I was literally months from being an “adult “)

Even if he’s a kid that’s not so nice… so what. He doesn’t have to be a sweet kid. Point is, he’s a minor. There doesn’t have to be a deep reason behind his demeanor.
