Though I agree with the criticism of the STP itself, I find it slightly disappointing the level of hate unconventional STP recipes seem to be receiving lately on this page. I believe that these unconventional presentations of STPs, though perhaps dissatisfactory in their execution, are vital in pushing the boundaries of STP perfection. Progress is never to be achieved without failure, and it is my view that oxford, and others, shouldn’t be held in contempt, but rather learned from, so we can one day achieve that perfect STP.

I can’t speak for the whole of Oxford uni but I recently visited New College on a school trip and the STP they served was decent and certainly seems an improvement on this example. It did however lack dates and was served with custard instead of ice cream, and I unfortunately didn’t get a photo. I hope this is insightful nonetheless to STPs at Oxford.
