@nancyychristine: Replying to @the smut dealer If your libido has dropped in perimenopause or menopause, you’re not imagining it and you’re definitely not alone. Hormonal changes affect your brain, your body, and even your arousal response, which is why desire can feel like it just disappears. It’s not just estrogen either—testosterone, sleep, mood, and physical comfort all play a role in menopause libido changes. This is a real biological shift happening in perimenopause and menopause…so if you’re feeling guilty…don’t! You can’t control it….but HRT can help! 😏😉 #perimenopause #menopause #libido #hormones #midlifewomen

I’m so sick of seeing commercials that help with a man’s sexual issues and how they get pills to help them!! Why isn’t there a magic blue pill to help us women?!

I had to fight for 2 years to get my doctor to check my testosterone levels, low and behold he called me the day he got my results and said I had zero testosterone! Needless to say I now have testosterone added to my HRT

You are the second gynecologist on here who has said this I talked to a male gynecologist on here told him I have a very low libido and I’m using vaginal estrogen have been having mood swings. Try to talk to my gynecologist last year about checking my hormone levels even though my family doctor or rather my primary care physician stated she checked my testosterone levels and said they were good but I wanted to get all of my hormone levels checked anyways the gynecologist said no there’s no need for that. You’re in menopause. Just take the vaginal estrogen and use it when you pick it up from the pharmacy and you’ll be good. It only helped a little so I told this other gynecologist on here about what was going on and he said he recommends using testosterone with the vaginal estrogen. Downside is my gynecologist doesn’t seem to want to listen. I am supposed to see her again this summer my husband blames him himself, says he cannot satisfy me and I told him that has nothing to do with him. It’s basically my hormones and my body retaliating against me.
