Been in it for 26 years, I see this all the time!! Had one guy that only had HDMI and he read display was better to he ordered a USB to display adapter and was using that. Hahaha

yeah i have a pc repair guy call me back on my Pc telling me my pc isn't turning on.... I simply replied "did you turn the psu switch on" 🤔 he said hold on.. oh yeah its on now.. I just shook my head and said to my self... please dont mess my pc up

HDMI 2.1 is pretty damm good, idk why people are hating on it. And if you have a monitor that supports Dolby Vision, and a game that does as well, HDMI is your only option. And with DSC turned on, you can get pretty good framerates anyway. But yeah, if you want 200+ fps or something on a 8k monitor, you probably want DP 2.1 or something better.

literally zero issue using hdmi if it supports the resolution and refresh rate your monitor does
