@davidalanarnold: Detective Randy Hoppert gave his life while protecting the people of Porterville, CA. Sheriffs were trying to evict David Morales when Morales suddenly opened fire on officers with a high-powered rifle. Detective Hoppert was horribly wounded in the gun battle that erupted in the middle of the neighborhood. His fellow Tulare County Sheriff Deputies ran into the line of fire to rescue Hoppert and rush him to hospital where he died from his gunshot wound. A wild gun battle continued back in the neighborhood and law enforcement converged from neighboring communities, including Kern County Sheriffs in their 20,000 lb “Bearcat” Armored Vehicle, which they used to run over and kill the suspect. #Sheriff #Shootout #OfficerDown
