@skysteam: Alright so this is how I faked a flexible airbag in SolidWorks based loosely off something like an RE6. I started with a sketch that basically defines how I want the bag to move, locked in my compressed and extended heights, then turned the line + arc into a single fit spline so everything can actually reference one clean path. From there it’s just stacking up parts — end plates, rings, middle section — all free to move, then mating their origins onto that spline and chaining symmetry mates between each piece so they all kind of average each other’s movement. That’s what gives you that “bag-like” motion. Problem is it’ll twist if you leave it like that, so I had to add top and bottom points and force them onto the spline as well to keep it tracking properly. It’s a bit smoke and mirrors to hide gaps and stop things pushing out weirdly when compressed, and yeah sometimes SolidWorks just locks it up for no reason, but for a quick motion check it actually does the trick. #solidworks #mechanicaldesign #engineering

The problem with SW is in your first sentans. The way that I want this bag to move... that is the problem. In multi physical oriented software that sentence is ochved not by the trajectory you want a object to move but by its own physical properties it to move from the real characteristics of the possibilities it to move. I one word... in real life that setup won't achive the desired movement.

Don't do that! This is misleading! Use finite element analysis to get a realistic deformation/stretching and study your design! Define a suitable material and apply load on your part and get the deformation! You can use different materials and loads and see the possible failure!

Another method to try is flexable part different then the flex in the assembly! Then the bag is one part like it should be.
