My biggest pet peeve like this seriously make me mad is when a vendor ask you about your collection and you show them your favorite card ( you don’t care about condition, price, or centering since it’s about collecting what you love) and the first thing they do is is inspect it and be like oooo yeah this won’t grade high and proceed to tell you how you should sell it like wtf or they’re like oh really that card.

lowkey heavily played cards are amazing. I'm building a dedenne master set right now and I mainly got heavily played or near mint because they are so much cheaper and they do the job of filling in the place they need to go. I love getting the card I want for cheaper

If they sell you old cert it’s low value plus you MUST take the guard - but if you sold someone an old cert it’s full value but you keep the guard

How does a vendor know when it’s a slightly played or they just assume. I collect them and immediately put a sleeve on them just so I can see how pretty they are.
