as a shan native my momma makes the besttttt tofu nway although we call it wanderful. Since I grew up in the states I didn’t know shan dishes was so popular in myanmar

Just sharing “ Did you know tofu nway originally came from Yunnan Province? It’s actually influenced by Chinese cuisine, because many Chinese communities settled in Shan State and brought the dish there over time, so it eventually became known as a Shan food. 😁
