@madelainerascan: More is not always better. I used to train 7 days a week (in fact, I remember once saying the words to Will “I’ve worked out 70 days in a row”) I used to live off processed protein foods. Protein cookies, protein bars, sugar free this and that. I would think about food 24/7. I couldn’t control myself on a Saturday night. It could never be “some” fries.. it was fries, then a dessert, then toast, then chocolate… I worked out harder + more consistently than anyone I knew and yet I didn’t really have the results to show for it. Not for how hard I worked. I was doing way too much and it backfiring hard. Ladies I beg you to look at your strategy. If it feels similar, give yourself a chance to do it right. From a place of honouring your body, not continuously fighting it. PS. For those who will comment 'you looked great in your before' thank you, but please don't skip over the fact that I was deeply struggling with food and over exercise. The outside didn't reflect what was happening on the inside. You’re worth every ounce of effort! Mads

I’m 54, changed my habits/ cal deficit, lots of protein, no processed foods, started exercising with small weights: lost 13 lbs and can see muscle growth!! And feel better!

I was a martial artist for many years, then an endurance athlete for many years. Not HIIT but long ass trainings, everyday, many intervals (in cycling, running and swimming). Didn’t eat THAT much. But lots of processed stuff in my 10-15 hours trainings weeks. After an injury last year. I had to put aside my training. The pounds packed on. But now, I’ve been training less (cycling at a moderate pace, salking and weight training. Along with a higher protein of REAL food and my body is changing.

Honestly, what gets me is it’s hard to afford enough protein daily all the lean protein food isn’t cheap if you need 100 to 150 g of protein daily that’s the only thing I’m having a hard time with thinking of getting a very clean protein powder to take off the financial pressure and the daily pressure of trying to find protein to get in.
