THE MET GALA: Rihanna wears custom Maison Margiela for the 2026 Met Gala. Drawing reference from the Artisanal 2025 collection, the column gown silhouette is founded in the medieval architecture and atmosphere of Flanders, with the constructive drape reflecting the painting of Flemish primitives. Our Artisanal material exploration continues, with the gown crafted from fine copper oscillating duchess woven with recycled computer wire, cloaked around a bodice made of 115,000 found crystal beads, antique jewels, and chains, crafted in over 1,380 hours in our Paris atelier.
